Tube diffusers are normally fitted into preassembled self-supporting units, easy to transport and install. These systems use square-section tubes in stainless steel, which at the same time feeding the diffusers with air and creating the support system.
The number of diffusers and the dimensions of each system are customised to the requirements. Micro-perforated membrane combines high efficiency in the transfer of oxygen and low head loss.
The most common material for the membranes is EPDM, however, membranes made from alternative materials are available upon request and used for applications in particularly aggressive wastewater.

- Lengths in 1000mm, 750mm and 500mm.
- Connectors for box section mounts available sizes 60×60, 80×80, 100×100.
- Airflows up to maximum of 20 Nm3/hr per unit.
- Recommended operating range 1 – 12 Nm3/hr per unit.
The panel diffusers provide microbubbles maximising the transfer rate of the oxygen thanks to the large area of the high efficiency polyurethane membrane, ensuring very low maintenance costs and high transfer yields. This provides a saving in the amount of air consumed and a lower energy and operating cost of the aeration system (a gain of +20% on kgO2/kWh compared to traditional systems of disc and/or tubular diffusers).
When using Panel / Strip diffusers, it is possible to cover the same surface with a smaller number of units. The panel diffuser with its modular structure allows for strips of different lengths to be assembled. The special mounting supports allow for direct installation to the bottom of the tank without the need for a support structure.

The micro-perforated membrane combines high efficiency in the transfer of oxygen and low head loss. The most commonly used material for the membranes is EPDM rubber, however, silicone is available upon request for applications in particularly aggressive wastewater.
The disc diffusers may be supplied loose, or organised into systems or networks. S.C.M. Tecnologie’s technical department design aeration systems with diffusers for different types of tanks and treatment providing us with recommendations to fit the customer requirements.

These diffusers are stainless steel and can be considered the perfect solution for applications that do not require a remarkable oxygen transfer but rather a mixing action.
Course bubble diffusers are successfully used in sand and oil separation processes. Their particular open non-clogging structure and the base material ensure resistance to corrosion and long life. The coarse bubble diffusers can be arranged as preassembled self-supporting structures, that can be easily transported and installed.
